10 Little Sanity Saving Tricks For Moms Who Feel Like They’re Drowning

  • Message a buddy. Whatever you need to do, do it now. Call me if you don’t have a friend you can call. Nothing to judge here.
  • Put the kids in the car and buy some coffee from the drive-through. I promise it will improve your day.
  • Compose an essay on it.
  • Consider praying.
  • Hug your children.
  • Take a stroll.
  • Play some kid-friendly entertainment while you sit quietly for ten minutes. Yes, I do advocate for screen time. No matter what it takes, mom needs (AND DESERVES) some quiet time.
  • Make a creative effort. Even your children could participate. Whatever your outlet is for your wrath, as long as you have one, use it. You may rage color, rage paint, or rage paste stickers on paper.
  • Count to 10.
  • Take a few oil sniffs. (Essential oils, not anything harmful; I’m just clarifying.)

Choose one of these, and carry it out. And never forget that both you and your adorable children deserve a lot of grace. Although difficult, this is really vital.
