11. You talk about them to other people
We often talk about the things that are significant to us, so it’s a positive indication if you and others are discussing your unofficial companion.
If you can’t help but smile while you do it, that’s a very good sign that you two are secretly dating.
12. Their opinion matters to you
They are the first person you turn to for guidance when you are unsure of anything. But it’s more complicated than just being friends; it goes deeper.
It’s significant to you, therefore you’re interested in hearing what they have to say. You will undoubtedly decide what to do on your own, but you feel compelled to learn their opinions so you may consider all of your options.
13. You’ve talked about the future
This may seem strange because obviously that’s what married couples do. Exactly! Don’t you believe it’s more official than unofficial to say things like, “Let’s go away next weekend,” or “In the summer we should,” for example?
If this is the case, you are giving off clear indications that you are dating informally, and you should probably hash it out to figure out the truth.
14. It feels official, even if it’s not
Here, trust your gut. Does it seem like a more permanent arrangement than merely a casual one? We’re not only referring to your side here; do you also sense it coming from them?

We refer to pet names as nicknames. It must be more than simply having fun if you both took the effort to select a charming name for one another.
Real couples have pet names, so if you have one and use it frequently, you can essentially claim that’s one of the signals you are secretly dating. What will you do about it then?
